Oakwood Lodge has always been a great supporter of the Friends of the Chislehurst RMBI home, and I am pleased to advise that we have just been made a Grand Patron of the RMBI Prince George, Duke of Kent Court.
‘The Gordon Davie Memorial Walk’
Four Lodge Brethren, with their partners, took part in the Memorial Walk on Sunday the 22nd August 2021 in memory of our much missed Brother Gordon Davie. The event raised about £2000 for the RMBI Home and 2026 Festival, including a donation of £250 from our lodge. Well done and many thanks to the intrepid walkers, who bravely ventured into the darkest recesses of Petts Wood (my apologies to the lovers of the English language for the split infinitive, I am sure that dear old Gordon would have pointed it out to me!).
